CULTURAL COMMITTEE
The Cultural Committee of Tunga Mahavidyalaya organised inter-collegiate cultural competitions for students of pre-university colleges in Thirthahalli Taluk on 13 August 2025, from 10:30 AM, in the college seminar hall.
Students from various PU colleges actively participated, showcasing their creativity, confidence and cultural talents. The programme provided a platform for young students to express their abilities and cultural spirit.
Teachers’ Day was celebrated on 6 September 2025 in the college auditorium. Dr. L. C. Sumitra, retired Principal, attended the programme as the chief guest.
Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated on 28 November 2025 in collaboration with the Department of Kannada.
A one-month Certificate Course in Theatre was organised for 30 interested students in collaboration with a local cultural organisation and the Alumni Association.
As part of the course, students rehearsed and staged the play Barbareeka at Shantaveri Gopalagowda Rangamandira, Thirthahalli, during the Youth Theatre Festival. The performance received warm appreciation from the audience.
Students of Tunga Mahavidyalaya participated in various competitions at Sahyadri Utsava–2026, organised by Kuvempu University from 12 to 14 March 2026. The students brought laurels to the college by securing first place in One-Act Play and Charmavadya, and third place in Mime.

A theatre camp for children aged 7 to 14 years was organised from 10 to 23 April 2026 in collaboration with Ranga Geleyara Balaga, Thirthahalli.
Annual intra-collegiate cultural competitions were organised for all students from 21 to 23 April 2026. Students actively participated and showcased their talents and creativity.
The Pratibha Puraskara and Co-Curricular Activities Valedictory Programme was held on 5 May 2026. Certificates and mementos were awarded to students who excelled in various competitions and activities.
