About the Department:
The Department of Commerce was started in 1971. It has a noble vision of imparting knowledge and technical skills to meet the demand in the world of commerce. It offers B.Com, B.Com (Hon) in UG stream, and M.Com in PG stream. It offers superior quality, affordable and professional education with a view to build graduate and post-graduate with highly efficient and leadership qualities.
The department intends to enlighten the graduates to be in the right endeavor by developing their distinct competition in human values and professionalism which leads them to be successful, globally employable, and entrepreneurial graduates in the dynamic environment. Henceforth, the department apart from classroom teaching molds the students through various academic and co-curricular activities under the banner of “Commerce Club” – Department Association. It conducts various commerce activities to enhance the entrepreneurial skills of the students.
Our department frequently organizes guest lecturers of various experts in the wanted topic to enhance practical knowledge. It arranges industrial visits to know about the real industry need. It organizes quizzes, group discussions, newspaper reading, faculty lectures, debates, etc., to improve the in-depth subject knowledge of the student. Therefore, the faculty of commerce is the crown of the college and holds 197 students’ strength in our Department.
Objectives of the Department:
- To provide conceptual knowledge and application skills in the domain of Commerce studies.
- To sharpen a student’s analytical and decision-making.
- To provide a good foundation for students who plan to pursue professional courses like CA, CS, and CMA
- To facilitate students with skills and abilities to become competent and assured of good careers and job placements.
- To develop entrepreneurship and managerial skills in students to enable them to establish and manage their business establishments effectively.
- To develop ethical business professionals with a broad understanding of the business from an interdisciplinary perspective.

Eligibility for admission : Pass in 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board.

b) B.Com (Hon) – 4 Years
