Sports at Tunga Mahavidyalaya

Sports at Tunga Mahavidyalaya give students opportunities to develop fitness, teamwork and discipline through training and competition. Students participate in athletics, team games, powerlifting and weightlifting, with achievements at inter-college competitions and representation in university teams.

Inter-College Athletics Championship

Students of Tunga Mahavidyalaya secured two first places, one second place and one third place at the Kuvempu University Inter-College Athletics Championship for men and women, held from 22 to 24 April 2026.

Inter-College Men’s Softball Champions

Tunga Mahavidyalaya’s men’s softball team emerged as champions at the Kuvempu University Inter-College Men’s Softball Tournament, held at NES Institute of Advanced Studies, Shivamogga, on 21 and 22 January 2026. Twelve students represented the college in the tournament.
